Same face. Same shape. Same certification. The core is the only variable, and it changes one thing: how long the ball stays on the paddle.
Thinner core, shorter dwell, ball leaves faster. Best if you finish points from the transition zone and your counters keep landing short.

Paddles rarely break. They fade. The honeycomb cells under the sweet spot slowly crush, the face flexes further than designed, and one day your resets float and your counters die. It happens on the inside, so the paddle still looks perfect.
Most of that traces back to one thing: hours of high heat during thermoforming, which stresses the adhesive and the core before the paddle ever reaches you. The Reaction Pro isn't built that way.

A healthy paddle gives one consistent, tight pitch everywhere. A lower, hollow tone means the core underneath has collapsed.
Press your thumbs hard into the centre. Any crunch or sponginess is core damage — and it's why the ball keeps sailing long. If it fails, you've been playing a broken paddle for months.

Is this actually tournament legal, or is the stamp decorative?
Legal. It's approved by USA Pickleball and listed in their public equipment database — the only source that matters. Some brands print a USAP logo on paddles that were never certified, so verify ours and verify anyone else's. Professional PPA and MLP events require UPA-A instead: separate body, separate list. We're not going to pretend otherwise.
Will it delaminate or go dead in three months?
That failure wave came almost entirely from early thermoformed paddles — hours in high-heat ovens degrade the adhesive and pre-stress the honeycomb, then the core crushes under normal play. This uses a cold-bonded polypropylene honeycomb core under a T700 face: the conservative construction, not the experimental one. Run the tap test at week one and week twenty. It should sound identical.
14mm or 16mm — which one do I need?
Take 16mm unless you have a specific reason not to. Softer on resets, steadier on blocks, more forgiving for the 3.0–4.0 doubles player. Choose 14mm only if you already know you want more pop. Everything else — face, shape, weight, certification — is identical.
The 4.125" grip sounds small. Is it?
Deliberately so. A smaller base lets you add an overgrip to reach your exact size — you can always go bigger, never smaller. Coming off a 4.25" grip, one overgrip lands you almost exactly there. A grip that's too large is the most common cause of tennis elbow in this sport.
The handle is 4.75". Can I hit a two-handed backhand?
Some make it work; many won't love it. This is a wide-body doubles paddle — shorter handle in exchange for a wider face and a bigger side-to-side sweet spot. If a two-handed backhand is the backbone of your game, an elongated shape suits you better. We'd rather say so now than process a return later.
How fast does it ship, and what if I hate it?
Orders before 2pm ship the same business day, typically 2–5 business days in the continental US, with the fitted neoprene cover included. You get 30 days to return it — play with it, sweat on it, take it to league night. If it isn't the paddle, send it back.
I'm a beginner. Is this too much paddle?
No — it's arguably the easiest paddle to learn on. A wide 8" face is the most forgiving geometry there is, because beginners miss side-to-side far more than high-low. It won't punish a mis-hit, and it's certified, so it'll still be legal at your first bracket.
